1876 - (February 11, 2017)

150 Years Of Canada

In 1876, many landmarks were established by the great Scottish-born inventor Alexander Graham Bell in Brantford, Ontario.

On August 3, he made the first understandable telephone call between two buildings. While Mr. Bell was in Brantford, Ontario, he communicated by telephone to Mount Pleasant, two miles away.

Then, on August 10, the first long-distance telephone call was made between the Bell residence and a shoe and and boot store in Paris, Ontario.

The animated show below that was made about Alexander Graham Bell doesn't exactly mention the Canadian connection to Bell; it is a charming little film, nonetheless.
