1907 - King Kong Actress Fay Wray is Born

On September 15, 1907 Fay Wray is born new Cardston, Alberta as Vina Fay Wray. Her family moved a lot and eventually ended up in Hollywood, California where she attended Hollywood High School. During her 56 year career, Fay Wray became known as one of the original "Scream Queens", specializing in a variety of horror films. Her most famous role, undoubtedly, is the original King Kong. 
It is Fay Wray's character who King Kong falls in love with and takes her to the top of the Empire State Building during the finale of this classic film. Fay Wray lived a very long life, dying in 2004 at the ripe age of 96 years old.
