1922 - Canada's First Ever Movie, "Nanook Of The North" Is Released

In 1922, American silent documentary producer Robert J. Flaherty starts a film-making tradition called salvage ethnography by creating Canada's first ever full feature film, Nanook of the North: A Story of Life and Love in the Actual Arctic.
