1901 - Queen Victoria Dies - Marconi Makes First Transatlantic Transmission in St. John's Newfoundland

On January 22, 1901 Queen Victoria dies. She was 81 years old and had served as Queen for 64 years.



Her son Edward becomes King Edward the VII.

On December 12th, the first transatlantic radio message is received by Guglielmo Marconi in St. John's Newfoundland.
